Experience a “Money Is No Object” Vacation
I’m a regular 24-year-old with a regular corporate job so of course, all of my travels are done on a budget. But just once, I would absolutely love taking a super lavish vacation where money feels endless. Let my inner rich girl run wild and live the life of my dreams! I’m talking fly first class, or even better, on a private jet to the Maldives, rent out the most expensive overwater bungalow I see, and sit on my bed in the most beautifully extra “I just k1lled my husband” robe while my private butler pours me a glass of the finest champagne they have. I want to receive every spa service available at the underwater spa. I want to rent a luxurious yacht to cruise into the sunset. And I want to experience the finest restaurants the island has to offer. I want to swipe my card (or someone else’s) unapologetically and live my best rich auntie life. Just once.
Point and Go
I’ve always said I’ll feel like I've made it in life when I can wake up one morning, spin a globe, and fly to wherever my finger lands. I always thought that was a faraway dream but then I saw another regular 20 something-year-old black woman (@im_arielrose) do just that and my interest was immediately sparked again. Now she is a flight attendant so I’m sure she has the hookup with flights that may have made that opportunity a bit easier for her but regardless, seeing her do that made me feel like that goal wasn’t as crazy as it once seemed. So ima go ahead and claim it for 2023. I’m gonna wake up, spin a globe, point, and go!
Host an International Student
Now this one isn’t necessarily me traveling but it’s still related. I really want to host an international program participant in my home at some point. If you didn't know, I participated in a teach abroad program in Spain right after college in 2019, and during my time abroad, I stayed with a host family. I really enjoyed my experience and felt like it was a great opportunity to learn about another culture and interact with locals. But I also feel like it could be really beneficial as a host to learn something about the culture of the student I'm hosting, build a global network, and step out of my comfort zone to try something new. I don't foresee that happening soon but maybe around my early 30s.
