Bougie Vibes Only: African Hotel Edition

Updated: Aug 22, 2021

So I spend a lot of time on Instagram, Airbnb, Expedia, etc. looking at beautiful travel pictures and have come across a lot of beautiful properties. Normally I just daydream and look at pictures on my own but I figured why not share some of my findings here in case you all want to daydream with me! I’ll be posting more of these over time for other continents so this is the first of many. Fair warning, most of these are EXPENSIVE and are on this list more so for admiration purposes not because I actually expect the average person to be able to visit anytime soon. So don’t get too obsessed because these prices can humble you real quick LOL.

Seychelles, an island off the coast of East Africa, is definitely on my bucket list (probably later in life). It's absolutely beautiful and seems like the ultimate bougie vacay! I came across this hotel on @chidiashley Instagram story and was in love! The bathtubs, pools, and views are to die for but the see-through pool above the living room was the icing on the cake LOL. This place is gorgeous but also requires you to have some gorgeous coins. In fact, looking at the 3 bedroom villa for 8 nights literally costs more than a year's salary soooooooo you won’t see me there anytime soon. But if I ever become a millionaire, BABAAAY! There are "cheaper" rooms though, but even they cost a minimum $1500 a night but the bougie in me wants the ceiling pool. So I need to gather me and 7 of my closest friends to split the cost. My DMs are open for close friend applications LOL.

This is a natural luxury villa on a game reserve in South Africa and once again, I’m mainly intrigued by the unique experience. It seems like the perfect place to experience all-inclusive luxury hospitality, feel calm and tranquil, and admire lots of natural views. People even mentioned being able to see elephants, kudu (antelopes), monkeys, etc. pass by. Price came to $20,000 for a week but I would totally try it, at least for a few days (hopefully I don’t get scared by the animals though LOL).

Although the rooms themselves are not necessarily glamorous, the Giraffe Manor in Kenya seems like such a cool experience! Experiencing giraffes up close and personal right from your bedroom window is something you could only do abroad and would make for such a unique memory. Prices seem to be about $900 per person per night so it’s definitely not cheap but it’s nowhere near the first 2. And honestly, this seems like the kind of place you could stay 1 or 2 nights to get your fill and then move on to a regular hotel to save some coins. But all of the Instagram pics I’ve seen have been bomb so I definitely want to go LOL. BTW if anyone knows the IG of these two ladies, please post in the comments. I forgot to save their info when I saved the pictures...

This luxury hotel in Morocco screams fanciness and I’m here for it. I love the property itself and all of the rooms have private pools! The minimum price is $1000 a night so it's a bit up there but this is one I could really see myself budgeting for because luxury is calling my name!

This Egyptian hotel is pretty simple but I really love the view! The prices for a pyramid view room are like $100+ which is really inexpensive. And look at these pictures! Gorgeous! I could wake up to that view every day for sure! This one is definitely doable in the near future! Maybe 2022???

Feel free to add your dream luxury hotels in the comments too!
